first of all...

Why did you misspell karma? Great question! Krama (KRA-muh) means scarf in Khmer, the language of Cambodia. In the Buddhist tradition, the karma wheel is made up of the actions we take and the resulting effect we have upon the world. We combined the two terms and krama wheel was born. {we delve deeper into this topic on our blog}

Why school uniforms? A child cannot attend school in Cambodia without a school uniform.  Countless families cannot afford this basic yet essential set of clothing.  We want to provide as many opportunities as possible for children to access education. Read more about our story.

How are the uniforms given? We work with trusted partner humanitarian organizations to manage our giving and determine where uniforms are needed most.  Our partners are on the ground and work closely with the seamstresses that make each uniform to ensure that the right size is made for each child.

Are you looking for new partner organizations? At the moment we only work with the Build Your Future Today Center in Siem Reap, but feel free to send us a note in the Contact Us section and we will keep your information on file.

Is krama wheel a non-profit? No, but we are an ethically-minded company with a spirit of helping people at the heart of our business. While we don't accept donations, you can show us love by sharing our story and products with your friends so that we can continue to expand the number of people we help.  Like, tweet, pin or blog about us!

Are your products handmade?Absolutely. Each of our items is hand-loomed by a weaver in Cambodia's Takéo province.  Your purchase helps them sustain themselves and their families and allows most of them to even work from home. In fact, the entire process is very hands-on: the cotton is hand-dyed, the fringe is hand-knotted and our labels are hand-sewn.  Because of this human touch, please understand that there may be some slight variation between items.  Have a peek into our process here.

Are your products for men or women?  Krama wheel products are gender neutral and are meant to be worn by anyone who digs them and the story they tell.

How do I clean my product? We recommend hand-washing them in cold water.  Be sure not to use bleach. Lay flat or hang to dry.

Do any retail stores carry your products?  At the moment krama wheel scarves are sold exclusively via our website.  If you are a retailer interested in carrying our products, please get in touch via our Contact Us page and we will keep your information on file.

Where do orders ship from? All orders ship from our beloved hometown of Austin, Texas.

The style I want is out of stock. Will you have more?  Each scarf is carefully handcrafted and produced in small quantities. While a style may be re-stocked, please note that it may take time before it is available again.  Keep checking back to see what other new styles come in that you may like.

How long does it take for my order to arriveYour order will be shipped via USPS within 2-3 business days. Please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery of your order during peak times such as holidays (longer for shipments to Canada).
